What is MRI Platform X (PMX)?
MRI Platform X is the modern name for MRI Property Management X (PMX) — MRI Software's flagship property management and accounting platform. Announced in March 2024 as a ground-up redesign, Platform X represents the result of a multi-year initiative to rethink critical property management functions and workflows for usability, efficiency, and intelligence.
The current major version is PMX X.7. Platform X vs. PMX vs. legacy MRI — the same thing?
Platform X and PMX are the same product. MRI uses Property Management X (PMX) as the formal product name and Platform X as the brand name for the modernized experience. Documentation and consultants use both terms interchangeably. Legacy MRI refers to the older Windows-based and self-hosted MRI environments that PMX replaces — clients running these versions face an upgrade decision to Platform X.7.
